Oral and dental health is an integral part of general health. Dentists, who take care of the health of the teeth and the oral cavity where the teeth are located, are also the architects of the general health of the patients. Dental education is a 5-year period that includes not only limited with theoretical lectures and practical training on phantom laboratory, but also clinical internship training on patients.

IAU Faculty of Dentistry, which has adopted a student-centred education approach, is a contemporary institution that is based on continuity in education and does not compromise on high quality standards. Our Faculty, which provides education in basic medical sciences and 8 clinical departments, is home to a well-known and experienced academic staff. IAU Faculty of Dentistry, where scientific and technological innovations are constantly followed, is among the few dentistry faculties in Turkey with its physical and technical facilities.  Our faculty has an instutional culture that contributes to science with academic researches placed in national and international indices, patent projects and R&D studies as well as serves to humanity with social responsibility projects considering the needs of publicity.

Undoubtedly, academic success requires discipline and efforts. However, being patient and tolerant in the profession of dentistry, as in every profession whose basic element is human, is very important on the road to success. In this manner, the main objective of IAU Faculty of Dentistry is to graduate students who act with the basic knowledge and principles of dentistry, to compromise ethical and moral values, and to be experienced and pioneered in their professional life.
