Many institutions and organizations serving in the fields of media, law, business, logistics and publishing require a highly qualified translator in today's world where Arabic is accepted as one of the most important languages in the world. The need for a translator who is fluent in Turkish and Arabic is increasing day by day especially in the companies that carry out business relations on an international scale and in the leading translation offices of our country. The main duty of the program is educating translators who have high language awareness, perceive translation as an intercultural communication rather than only a language activity, have full knowledge of Turkish, Arabic and the culture of these two languages, have a grasp of translation techniques and terms, theories, know the field of knowledge and terms of different disciplines, have practical experience in translation and interpreting, and have a brilliant command of Turkish and Arabic. Our department continues to make its own contribution to our country as a department that has undertaken this mission.

The need for communication under the influence of the positions of Turkey and Arab countries is increasing in ever changing and developing world and the purpose of the department of Translation and Interpreting (Arabic) is to eliminate the shortage of qualified personnel who will work in this field in our country; to take new steps in political, commercial, cultural and scientific fields by strengthening the history between the two communities and to establish strong relationships.
