TOEFL-IBT AND END OF YEAR EVALUATION

·         TOEFL-IBT is applied as the final exam at Istanbul Aydın University English Preparatory School. *

·         TOEFL-IBT, which has international acceptance and/or validity, can be taken at any of the test centers indicated on the ETS web page (https://www.ets.org). Students can take TOEFL-IBT at the test center of their choice . 

·         Evaluation is applied in different ways for Degree and Non-degree groups.

For degree groups, the end of year score is calculated by adding 70% of all the scores achieved in the academic year to 30% of the TOEFL-IBT score.

For non-degree groups, the end of year score is calculated by adding 80% of all the scores achieved in the academic year to 20% of the TOEFL-IBT score.

·         Students whose overall scores is 70 and above, are considered successful. Students whose scores is below 70 are deemed to have failed.

EXEMPTION

·         In order to be exempted from the English Preparatory School, students are required to get the signified scores from at least one of the following exams

TOEFL® Test:

TOEFL® is valid for 2 years after the test date. Please note that we accept the TOEFL iBT test and TOEFL revised paper-delivered Test only. The PBT test is no longer administered, but your scores are valid for 2 years after your test date. Istanbul Aydin University's institution code for ordering your official TOEFL Test score from ETS is 6854. There is no department code, this can be left blank. Test taker copies are not accepted and test scores need to be sent directly by ETS. Applicants can order their score reports through their test taker profile by indicating Istanbul Aydin University's institution code (6854). Istanbul Aydin University verifies the TOEFL results in the online verification system provided by ETS. Additional information can be found here www.toeflgoanywhere.org
