About Us

Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) was established in 1995. This Foundation applied to the Council of Higher Education in 2003 to close the personnel gap and to find a solution to employment problem in our country, and demanded the establishment of Anadolu BİL Vocational School of Higher Education. It is a first in point of being directly affiliated to the Council of Higher Education with the General Assembly Resolution numbered 106 and dated 26.09.2003 adopted by the Council of Higher Education, and started its education life in 2005-2006.

Then, the works were carried out for the establishment of Istanbul Aydın University to be directly affiliated to the Council of Higher Education, and they gave a proposal to the Council of Higher Education for the establishment of the University. This proposal was approved by the General Assembly of the Council of Higher Education. Istanbul Aydın University was established and acquired legal entity status with the law numbered 5656 Annex-73 published in the Official Gazette numbered 26526 and dated 18.05.2007 by following the required legal procedure.

T.R. Istanbul Aydın University has started its works to become an accredited and authorized personnel documentation institution which aims to perform assessment and evaluation, documentation, document renewal; to monitor the performance of certified individuals; to provide quality assurance of documents for employers and employees in national and international arenas in accordance with national qualifications with the aim of being a part of UMYS that transforms proven knowledge, skills and competencies of individuals into comparable and valid documents at an international level, particularly at the level of European Union in an effort to support business world in consequence of the decision taken.

IAUMSM (Vocational Examination Center) started its works in 2011 within the body of IAUSEM (Continuing Education Center) as a Personnel Certification Institution and working in the areas determined by taking into account what the country needs and where effective works are carried out in the university, within the framework of National Competencies formed as a result of the works of the Vocational Qualification institution in our country in 2012. Our administration system went into effect in conformity with TS EN ISO/IEC 17024 standard on 30.11.2012 after a year of preparation, and our accreditation was published with AB-0061-P no on 21 April 2014 after the audit made in December, 2014. Then, it was authorized in the following areas with YB-0031 no on 09.09.2014 as a result of the audit made by the Central Executive Committee on June, 2014.

Performing its activities within the body of IAUSEM, Personnel Documentation Coordinatorship was established as an independent unit named IAUMSM with the decision of the University Senate numbered 2014/09 and dated 08/09/2014. It officially continues its studies with Istanbul Aydın University Personnel Documentation and Vocational Examination Application and Research Center Regulation O.G. Issue: 29297 published on 16.03.2015. Istanbul Aydın University Personnel Documentation and Vocational Examination Application and Research Center defined the authority and responsibilities of commissions and committees in order to form documentation program for each documentation area which will be implemented and to maintain the development of this program. The Program Committees consist of members with technical competencies, sufficient academic knowledge and experiences. The documentation program was formed in accordance with the National Competency.

Istanbul Aydın University Personnel Documentation and Vocational Examination Application and Research Center employs a sufficient number of staff to ensure effective operation. Quality system was formed in compliance with the standard of TS EN ISO/IEC 17024, TÜRKAK accreditation rules and the Central Executive Committee Exam and Documentation Regulation. The tasks of all personnel are clearly defined. Every personnel sign a written contract to confirm that they will follow the principles of impartiality, equality, independence and confidentiality.  

Istanbul Aydın University Personnel Documentation and Vocational Examination Application and Research Center has the financial resources required to control the documentation system and meet its related responsibilities. The policies and procedures, that differentiate personnel documentation from the other activities, are defined and implemented.

The documentation institution follows that education services are performed independent from personnel evaluation and documentation practices, ensures confidentiality and impartiality, and does not offer to give or provide education to candidates.
