​​​​​​Applied English Translation Program offers both theoretical and practical education for the efficient use of a foreign language in specific fields/sectors. Within the scope of collaborations with domestic and international solution partners, students are provided with the opportunity to practice and gain experience.

Graduates of this program have the knowledge and skills to translate literary works, scientific articles, newspapers and magazines, political, legal, economic, technical and other types of texts in the language of translation. Having these knowledge and skills means translating texts into the other language without disrupting the integrity of meaning and accuracy of expression, and checking the accuracy of the translations. In addition, the students/graduates should frequently follow the major changes, developments and updates in their mother tongue and the foreign language they speak. These changes may be the result of social, cultural and technological developments. Students are expected to use computer-based technological tools and programs at an adequate level in order to adapt to the translation processes that progress in parallel with the developing technology.
