Twenty-three valuable speakers took part in the two-day symposium consisting of six sessions.</strong></div><div><br/></div><div>The opening speech of the symposium, which took place in two days and six sessions, was made by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Hakkı Aydın. Prof. Dr. Aydın stated that the symposium will be productive and expressed that they are pleased to host valuable jurists and put an end to his speech by stating that everyone should have full faith in the rule of law.</div><div><br/></div><div>After opening speeches, the first session began. Prof. Dr. Haluk Nami Nomer chaired the first session, while Prof. Dr. Musa Aygül made presentations on &quot;Arbitration Agreement&quot;, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Erkan on &quot;Third Party Financing in Arbitration Proceedings&quot;, Prof. Dr. Oğuz Atalay on &quot;The Effect of Stopping of Trial on the Duration of Arbitration&quot; and Prof. Dr. Rıfat Erten on &quot;Judicial Decisions on Provisional Legal Protection Measures in Arbitration Proceedings&quot;. After presentations, the speakers answered the questions of the participants.&#160;</div><div><br/></div><div>The second session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Rıfat Erten, Prof. Dr. Bilgin Tiryakioğlu presented &quot;What Makes Investment Arbitration Different from Commercial Arbitration&quot;, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eda Manav presented &quot;Türkiye&#39;s Investment Arbitration Practices&quot;, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Dülger presented &quot;The Concept of Investment in Bilateral and Multilateral Investment Treaties between Members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation&quot;, and Prof. Dr. Aysun Bolaca presented &quot;A Close Look at the Concept of &#39;ESG&#39; (Environmental Impact-Social Responsibility and Governance) in Investor-State Arbitration&quot;.
