Mission

To train qualified Russian language translators-interpreters who have internalized ethical values within the basic scientific understanding, have a high command of Russian language as well as translation theories and rules, have researcher, meticulous and organized working habits, and can meet the needs of the society, the public and private sectors.

Career Opportunities

Translation and Interpreting (Russian) graduates can work in a wide range of fields such as translation offices, engineering and architecture firms, foreign trade companies, private institutions and organizations, tourism agencies and other businesses operating in tourism, news agencies, various Undersecretariats and Ministries, Turkish Armed Forces, embassies and foreign representations. Furthermore, they can work as academic staff in universities and as language assistants in European Union projects that require high language proficiency.
