Purpose of the Training
Logistic is realizing transportation, storage, packaging and value-added operations, customs, insurance, order management, inventory management and inspection activities with an integrated understanding. Logistics companies that perform these activities for their customers, in other words, 3.Party logistics (3PL) companies, constitutes logistic sector. Logistics Performance Index developed by the World Bank taking into account six different logistics criteria determines logistic development level of countries. The index, abbreviated as LPI, is basically considering customs and border crossing operations, logistics infrastructure, international transport opportunities, quality of logistics operations, traceability of products and on-time delivery performance criteria. It is continuing to develop in 150 countries since 2007. This situation is indication of our country is progressing rapidly in logistic field and the growing need for professional work force of enterprises in the field of logistics and supply chain.
At the point of dynamism, speed, cost required by domestic and international trade today, for reasons such as the necessary competitiveness, the need to use technology at an advanced level for efficiency, companies prefer to work with specialized staff in their field.
With the Logistics & Supply Chain and purchasing expertise certificate program, it is aimed to train managers who are experts in supply chain management.
