Advertising emerges as an area of science and practice from ancient Roman, Greek, Egyptian,
Babylonian civilizations to the present day. Advertising, which is the sub-domain of the
Marketing Communication mix, has become an indispensable method in the communication of
brands and institutions. Advertising, which reflects the structure and cultural codes of the
society and has the power to change them, has become a profession that requires
professionalism today.
Advertising; because it is a profession that requires many skills such as creativity,
farsightedness and analysis, our students are provided working with different disciplines such
as marketing, psychology and sociology.
In our department, theoretical and applied courses on communication science are given in order
to raise professional advertisers, and it is aimed that our students work together with industry
professionals and graduate in a sector-ready manner with a variety of activities and workshops.
Advertising department graduates can work in various positions in advertising agencies such as
copywriter, media planning specialist, customer representative, creative director, art director,
graphic designer, advertising and communication manager, brand manager, marketing
manager.
