Mission: The aim of the program is to train qualified professionals who are able to perform food inspection and control services in accordance with the regulations and to prepare an inspection report when necessary taking into account the minimum technical and hygienic conditions in production, processing and distribution stages, including the primary production stage of food and food control materials to ensure food safety and quality and who have the knowledge and skill to collect samples at all stages of the process from production to consumption of food and to make sensory, physical, chemical and microbiological analysis of samples taken.   Department Opportunities: The Food Quality Control and Analysis program is a two-year program offered as daytime or evening courses at Florya campus. The language of the program is Turkish. Students are offered a year of English language preparatory classes if they wish. Throughout the four-semester program, classes are taught by professionals who are higly experienced in academic and sectoral field. Classes, equipped with the necessary tools such as overhead projectors and computers to support occupational courses with visual presentations, state-of-the-art applied laboratories within the Food Processing Department and the academic staff specialized in the field are the features that make the program unique. The program also helps students develop their skills through applied training as well as corporate information. For this purpose, fundamental and general educational classes are offered during the first and the second semester and applied courses to improve occupational skills are offered during the third and fourth semester. Our students are well prepared for the sector by completing the required internship during the summer and once-a-week on the job training throughout the third semester.   Career Opportunities: Graduates of the program can work at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Forestry Control Laboratory, Institute of Public Health, Municipalities, Provincial Health Directorates, food laboratories of food producing factories, private food laboratories, all food businesses engaged in food production, food storage and packaging firms, food additives production and marketing firms, companies that manufacture food packaging, ready meals businesses, food production and sale of fast food companies.
