We are excited to announce that Istanbul Aydin University, Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the Health Policies Research Center and Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), has organized a prestigious one-day International Symposium titled "Handshaking of Fundamental Sciences and Clinical Sciences: Beyond Boundaries." This virtual event was held in a hybrid format on April 26, 2024. The symposium aimed to delve into the forefront of Hot Topics in Fundamental and Clinical Sciences, addressing Challenges and Opportunities for Basic and Clinical Science, and offering insights into Future Perspectives in these crucial fields. With a diverse audience of approximately more than 100 virtual attendees, including physicians, academicians, policymakers, healthcare providers, researchers, and students, this symposium promised engaging discussions and debates on critical issues shaping the landscape of health policies and sciences. Key topics of discussion included Challenges and Opportunities for Basic and Clinical Sciences, Updates in Basic and Clinical Sciences, and the role of Medical Education in shaping these disciplines. Distinguished speakers from around the globe shared their insights on cutting-edge topics such as the Human Glycome Atlas Project, Engineering of Oligonucleotides for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Strategies, Gene-Editing Technologies, and much more.
