Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	gain the ability of evaluating preschool childrens cognitive, social-emotioanl, psychomotor, languge and self-help skills, gain the ability to support development at infancy and early childhood
Course Content	Developmental screening at infancy and early childhood; importance of instrument usage in monitoring child development; instruments used in developmental assessment in Turkey; assessment of cognitive; psychomotor; social-emotional and language development at early childhood; early childhood, early childhood care and education programs in Turkey, assessment practices and case studies

Learning Outcomes

Explains the theories related to development areas.
Explains the developmental characteristics and learning methods and techniques of children with normal development and children with special education needs.
Expresses the relationship between the importance, purpose and principles of pre-school education.
Gains the knowledge needed to practice preschool education activities.
Has knowledge of ethical principles and rules related to her field.
Knows the basic concepts and tools related to the field.
Distinguish the developmental differences between children, taking into account the age and developmental characteristics of children.
