Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	Perception and surrounding concepts, existing colors, form, balance relations, regulation theories, suitability in art and design, sample analysis.
Course Content	The concept of perception and surrounding concepts, detection criteria and senses, perception theories, visual perception and design, color, form, balance relationship in visual perception, basic concepts related to semiotics, perception in art and design will be examined.

Learning Outcomes

The students recognize the principle of basic communication, design and graphic design.
They have the knowledge of needs of sector and fields such as advertising, editing, publishing in terms of professional life’s and professional designers’ expectancies.
They have sufficient knowledge to use computer softwares that are used for graphic designing
They have a knowledge of professional responsibility values and ethics.
The students can perceive contemporary, original and aesthetic graphic design products which can be put into practice.
They know the authorities in art and design field and follow them.
They know computer-aided graphic design programmes.
They know design, practice and print steps.
Students have an aesthetic point of view to be able to produce a product of design.
They can do graphic design products and projects.
They can plan creativity, applying and production steps of graphic design.

They can improve themselves by following renewed and updated information about the communication and design fields. They follow current computer programmes.
