Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	In this course, there are both theoretical and practical workshop studies aiming to improve practical occupational skills.
Course Content	To teach principles of plaster,wood,iron,glass,soil-based design in taditional crafts and practical studies

Learning Outcomes

Has the basic knowledge, skills and concepts in specific culture, aesthetics, methods, techniques and materials that are based on competencies gained in general or vocational secondary education
Can consciously define and use the data that is required for the solution of well-defined problems While producing building survey, restitution proposal and restoration projects.
can express explicitly the design and applications related to restoration,coservation,reconstruction to their colleagues,seniors and the people they provide service.
can do an interdisciplinary study.
Can write restoration reports.
Can read the facade of an historical building.
Can do measurement of building Survey.
Can prepare proposal for restitution.
Can prepare Restoration / reconstruction project.

1	Varieties of traditional handcraft and explanation of traditional handcraft related to architectural restoration.
2	explanation of the basic principles of art and its place in designing of traditonal handcraft.
3	study of Geometric pattern design and sketch work matching the basic principles of art
4	application technique of making plaster molds
5	theoretical explanation of plaster relief technique and theoretical application in the workshop
6	teaching a plaster mold relief die casting technique
7	teaching glass sand blasting technique,design of pattern and glass sandblasting application
8	stained glass techniques and design of stained glass
9	mid-term exam
10	teaching how to finish application of stained glass design
11	presentation of glass etching method and technique of decorating
12	explanation of wrought iron design technique
13	project of Wrought iron design
14	wall design with template and application of the design
