The aim of the course	This course will focus on translation of written texts from English into Turkish and vice versa within the framework of different text types. Class discussions will increase students’ awareness of the language structure, style, register, cultural context and the audience of the chosen text types.
Course Content	Students will translate some basic texts on different subjects.

The students become familiar with the translation
Learn about the background of English Literature
Become Familiar with the languages and cultures
Establish a background information about the history of translation
Identify the terminology of translation
Identify the differance between the translation and interpretation
Become efficient in using dictionary
Become efficient in using dictioanry and learns about the structures of languages
Able to translate various topics from literature to law, economy to chemistry other technic Works and texts
Can translate into other languages without corrupting the form and content in writtten texts
can control the translated texts and make prof readings etc.
Can make consecutive translation
Can open his/her translation office
Can teach english to primery school students
Can teach english at private institutions
Can work as a translator in various institutions, and periodicals
