Vocational English

As a continuation of the general English courses taught in the first year of the University's Faculties and Schools, our students who mostly move to the second year take Vocational English courses where they are taught to communicate in English clearly, concisely, completely, and correctly in personal and professional areas. Competence in oral, written, interpersonal, technological, and employment-oriented communication is developed. The primary goal of this course is to provide a complete infrastructure for students to communicate effectively.

In the fall, the Vocational English-I course follows a curriculum that includes general business English skills such as preparing for job interviews, making presentations, preparing CVs, writing emails, and communicating orally and in writing at the workplace, while in the spring, the Vocational English-II course follows a curriculum specific to each department and program, including English terms and words related to them.

In order to overcome communication difficulties, our students are made ready for the business world by using all the modern technological resources available. Visual and auditory tools accompany our students, ensuring they are prepared for the business world.
