How to Obtain the Residence Permit?

​All the students must apply for residence permit after they completed their registration to the university. 
Getting a residence permit looks a bit difficult at the beginning. The page will help you how to do it step by step and you don’t need anyone to apply for residence permit.

You can do your application in Turkish, English, Arabic and Russian.

Before you start application you must know these informations:

Your Residence Permit Type :

If you are a student in Associates, Bachelor, Master or Phd degree you have to apply for the Students residence permit type.

If you are learning Tukish Language in TÖMER, you have to apply for Short Term Residence Permit type. This is the government rule. It does not matter if you will continue to the in Associates, Bachelor, Master or Phd degree after TÖMER, the rule is certain you have to apply for student residence permit.

** You were TÖMER student and you had a short term residence permit but now you are student at in Associates, Bachelor, Master or Phd degree, that means you can transfer for your residence permit to the student residence permit. To transfer your application you have to choose transfer application.
If you have already a student residence permit and if it is about the finish you have to extend it. You have to choose extenstion application.

​Which Documents Do I need to apply?
In order to start your Residence Permit Application online you will need 4 basic documents.
​1-) Original Passport
2-) Photo in JPEG format. Scan in flash
3-) Valid Health Insurance 
4-) Active Turkish Mobile Number

After you complete your application, you will be asked to complete required documents.

* Residence Permit Application Form (must be signed by the foreigner and/or his/her legal
representative)
Passport or original and photocopy of passport substitute document (pages containing identity
information and the page containing photo and processed pages)
* Four (4) pcs photos (must have been taken within the last 6 months, against a white background
and biometric. Do not upload family, selfie, unrecognizable, non up-to-date or black and white
photos into the system, otherwise residence permit document shall not be issued!)
*Declaration which states that financial capacity is to be provided sufficiently and regularly
throughout the stay (Is declared in the Application Form. Directorate may request supporting

* Valid health insurance (Insurance period must cover the intended residence permit duration. 


Important Notes About Applications

Please pay attention while you are filling the questions. You have to fill all the red colour questions, not grey colour questions.
In the application form there is a adress question where you should go to your appointmentIf you don’t know which adress you should choose online application Here you are :

You have to write an adress to application form in Turkey but you should not write your home adress. You have to write Istanbul Aydın University Adress.
Istanbul Aydın University adress : Beşyol Mahallesi, İnönü Caddesi Numara 38 Küçükçekmece / İstanbul

When you completed your application you must take print out your application form.There is print out button you must click on it to print out.And please don’t forget the print it immediately.
When you print out your application form it will be total 10 pages. You should read all the pages carefully.
 
If you are under 18, you have to take deed of consent from your family 
If you are under 18,you have to take deed of consent (muvafakatname in Turkish) from your family. Your mother and your father must introduce their selves and the student’s name. Also your family must mention about Istanbul, Turkey and Istanbul Aydın University. They have to approved this from the Turkish Embassy of your country. And when you recieve the deed of consent you must take Notarisation in Turkey. And also you can aprroved it from your Embassy in Republic of Turkey.

If your name and surname not separated in your passaport  
You have to take Birth Certificate from your Embassy in Republic of Turkey.
