Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Introduction to measurement and control techniques and applications
Course Content Definition and history of measurement and control, issues to be considered, international unit systems, measurement methods, mechanical measuring instruments, places where calipers are used, measurement errors and points to be considered, reading of metric and inch parted calipers, using micrometers. Reading of micrometers, Other measuring instruments (comparator, etc.), Taper measurement, Measurement of screws, Bumper and fork gauges, Measuring and control of gear wheels, Tolerance systems, Surface roughness and error analysis., Calibration.
