Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	To be able to recognize the basic principles of machining, chipless and joining and manufacturing methods and basic manufacturing processes used in the industrial field, to comprehend the basic features, to gain the ability to apply knowledge and skills.
Course Content	Basic principles of machining, chipless forming and joining and manufacturing processes. Introduction of machine tools used in machining and chipless production. Examination of methods used in joining process and expression of industrial usage areas.

Learning Outcomes

Gain theoretical and practical information in basic level of the subjects mathematics, science and basic engineering related on his field.
Has idea about materials which are used in manufacturing
Know machining and chipless machining techniques, has ability to chose the best manufacturing method.
Know machine picture drawing and designing rules,design machine parts and systems properly to the desired properties
Has knowledge about machine elements imachine and equipment related on his field
Design either a system, a system component or a process under real constraints.
Gain ability of thinking three dimensional.
Has knowledge about control methods of motion of mechanical systems.
Interpret and evaluate datas, identify problems, and analyse them by using the basic level knowledge and abilities gain from their field
Know universal machine tools' working principles.
Know working principles of computer controlled manufacturing tools
Shape workpiece in a machine tool which is designed by using computer based drawing programs.
Identifies materials and symbols using in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Prepare program in a computer controlled machine tool for manufacturing process.
Chose modern techniques, tools and informatics technologies needed for applications related on his/her field and use them effectively.
Use computer hardware and software up to the level necessited by his/her field.
Recognize materials,chose the most suitable material for manufacturing.Calculate the strenth of material depend on the static and dynamic variable.
Take responsibility individually or in a group while solving a problem during designing or manufacturing process.
Improve his/her ability of being productive and taking responsibility during a team work.
Gain ability of thinking authentic.
Has conciousness about necessity of whole life learning, following improvements in science and technology and the necessity of renew himself/herself.
Follow developments about computer aided manufacturing and computer aided design.
Follow innovations about chipless manufacturing.
Have knowledge about envirenment protection, communication techniques and quality system standarts.
Know English at basic level and also know the meanings of vacational terms' English translations.
Hava idea about entrepreneurship.
Organise manufacturing process,supply distribution of work, provide manufacturing proces to have a quality standart.
Renew himself/herself with the development in science and technology.
Has knowledge and conciousness about work safety ,worker health and social rights.

12	Mass Forming Methods; forging, rolling.
13	Sheet metal forming methods; Deep drawing, plastering, cutting, bending, curling.
14	General review.
