Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Language and translation education is enriched by learninig the literature, the culture, the history of the people who speak that language.The Introduction to Russian Literature Course aims to introduce the students to the rich literary and philosophical tradition which is a part of the intellectual heritage. After the students are shortly introduced to the major periods of Russian literature they will study the Works of important writers of Russian literature such as A.S.Pushkin, M.Lermontov, F.M. Dostoyevski, L.N.Tolstoy, A.P.Chekhov.
Course Content Is a continuation of Introduction to Russian Literature I. The works of important writers ar studied.Besides the stylistic features of the works,the socio-cultural structure of the period they were written in is also louched upon.
