Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The graduation project aims to showcase the knowledge, experience and skills acquired during undergraduate education with a design-based business model graduation project in which advanced design and innovation management models are experienced. Each student not only applies design management methods through a project based on observation and data of his own choosing, but also completes his project with an interdisciplinary process that is required by the design management discipline in the field he chooses.
Course Content	A professional and complex business model based on individual and group work on various products, services and systems, taking into account the theoretical and practical knowledge, processes and methods acquired in the field of design management specialization of industrial design, project development and project cycle, social/environmental/ethical/universal issues.

The aim of the course

Course Content

Learning Outcomes

Discuss formal composition systems and the methods used in Industrial Product Design.
Comment on the basic principles and methods of Industrial Product Design.
Summarize the parallel and divergent canons of Industrial Product Design city, art, technology and human sciences of the Western world.
Retain the basic principles of ecology and landscape architects' responsibilities with respect to environment and human interaction in architecture.
Formulate the proper presentation of the subject matter of an Industrial Product Design project.
Analyze the examples of contemporary international Industrial Product Design with a critical point of view.
Employ basic methods of data collection and analysis to address all the aspects of design process in Industri Product Design.
Interpret the shifts occuring in the natural-artificial, legal–political and economic factors that shape the practice of Industri Productr Design.
Provide theoretical bases of distinct approaches and design methods in contemporary Industrial Product Design.
Classify the basic principles of acoustics and lighting systems, and energy use.
Define the principles, conventions, standards, applications, and restrictions pertaining to the manufacture and the use of increasing number and types of construction materials.
Identify the ethical issues involved in the formation of professional judgments in Industrial Product Design.
Employ appropriate representational media, including computer technology, to convey essential formal elements at each stage of the programming and design process.
Integrate structural, environmental and life-safety systems, building envelope systems, and building service systems into building design.
Utilize technically precise inventory and documentation of a historic place within the rules established by the relevant authority.
Assemble a comprehensive software program for an ındustrial product design project including an assessment of client and user needs, an inventory of space and equipment requirements, an analysis of site conditions and a definition of site selection and design assessment criteria.
Judge the individual role of an Industrial Product designer in the professional field and his/her responsibility.
Work successfully in research and design stages of an ındustrial product design project within a team.
Consent lifelong learning principles in professional life as well as follow up development and improvement in the field of Industrial Product Design.
Discuss social and professional issues.
Administer the limited energy resources and take responsibility to protect the environment.
Integrate the basic principles and responsibilities of organization and legislation as they apply to the practice of Industrial Product Design.
