Purpose and Content

The aim of the course This course aims to examine the principles of computer-aided 3D modeling and design in industrial design and to acquire presentation preparation skills.
Course Content In this course, the use of basic and surface modeling techniques with Rhinoceros program, creating images with rendering engines, creating graphic narratives with adobe programs, modeling of students' designs and / or existing products and making them ready for presentation are discussed practically.

1General introduction of the course, explanation of required materials.
2Using advanced commands in 3D modeling techniques, creating surface patterns
3Use of advanced commands in 3D modeling techniques, controlled surface and solid formations with parameter and numerical input.
4Expression of the techniques and tools used after 3D modeling, rendering engine introductions.
5Quiz exercises, explaining the types of rendering engines and their differences.
6Reading of modeling in rendering engines, surface and solid relations
7Material assignments, producing materials and changing material properties in render engines
8In rendering engines, light and scene adjustments, background operations, output types
9Sketching
10Types and differences of post-editing programs. Differences between vector and non-vector programs, digital graphics and printing relations
11Explanation and usage of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator basic features and toolbars.
12Basic editing and presentation-portfolio preparation with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, backgrounds, basic functions.
13Advanced editing and presentation-portfolio preparation with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, detail operations, light, shadow, perspective, color settings.
